About ACMV

Update May 2015:

We’re sad to tell you that ACMV is no longer active.
After 5 great years we decided to focus on new projects. We would like to thank all of you – ACMV’s readers & collaborators – for your interest in ACMV over the past few years! It’s been so much fun, and we really enjoyed featuring all those talented photographers and photography events. Please feel free to browse ACMV’s archive – we believe that many articles/features are still ‚valid‘ and of interest for you. :)

Thanks again & best wishes,
Julia & Oliver

ps: But feel free to check out our…

Julia & Oliver founded »ele studio« in 2017, a website showcasing their art direction portfolios/projects.
They also launched a joint blog about their bicycle trips, also called ACMV! You can find it here: actualcolorsmayvary.com

Julia launched a new project in spring 2015, »PiB – Photography in Berlin«, a platform for fine art & documentary photography in Berlin, Germany.

Oliver launched »Pie in the Sky«, a music website featuring psychedelic music gems (currently 500+) from all around the world.

About ACMV

Actual Colors May Vary {ACMV} was (from 2010–20215) an online magazine dedicated to showcasing and promoting distinctive work from an international community of primarily emerging photographers.

Besides highlighting the work of single photographers in individual features, ACMV shares handpicked  announcements to photography events (call for entries, awards, exhibitions, festivals, workshops, talks, …) – both internationally and with an increasing focus on Berlin.

ACMV was founded in late 2010 by Julia Schiller and Oliver Schneider – both photographers and freelance art directors based in Berlin, Germany.

We are open to collaborations of all sorts, and welcome co-editors who would like to publish their own articles/features on ACMV! Simply drop us a line telling us about your idea – we’re looking forward to hearing from you!
