Coinciding with the inaugural Photo London art fair at Somerset House, Seen Fifteen is pleased to present a four day fringe event, Paris to Peckham: MYOP in London, showcasing fifteen exhibitions by the contemporary French collective, Agence MYOP. All works will be on view in the UK for the first time, following an acclaimed debut at Les Rencontres D’Arles photography festival in July 2014.

Agence MYOP, established in 2005, are a collective of emerging and mid-career photographic and video artists based in Paris. The exhibition will be staged in the dramatic stripped-out shell of two derelict Victorian terraced houses on the Bussey Building site in Peckham Rye. Each artist will take over their own dedicated or thematic space within the building, creating an immersive walk-through experience for the visitor. A diverse range of projects will be on display, from those where the photographer has turned the camera inwards to produce intimate meditations on personal relationships, to those that seek to illuminate current political debates on issues such as immigration and social housing by offering unique perspectives from within.

An accompanying series of free salon style events will take place from Friday to Sunday, featuring MYOP artists in collaboration with local London-based artists. The full programme of talks, debates and workshops will be published in April.

  • Acclaimed Parisian photography collective Agence MYOP to exhibit in Peckham during Photo London week
  • Fifteen exhibitions by award-winning photographers on view in the UK for the first time

About Agence MYOP

Agence MYOP was established in Paris in 2005 by participating artists Guillaume Binet, Lionel Charrier and Oan Kim. MYOP stands for, ‘Mes Yeux, Objets Patients’, from a poem by the surrealist poet Paul Eluard. The agency is built on the principle that it is mor e than a picture agency. Each member embraces the informative power of their images, and their subjective role as image makers and storytellers. A series of events to mark
the agency’s tenth anniversary are taking place throughout 2015, starting in London.
