    Ruth Dudley-Carr | The Heads

My work is a visual diary, exploring historical events and memories, mixed with fictionalized stories. The body of work I present you, titled “The Heads”, is an opportunity for the viewer to wander through my psyche, using mirrors, reflections, and at times seeming aquatic, in an attempt to lead the viewer down a path that is ultimately their own.

    Collin Avery | Remain Calm

Max Ferguson | Painting My Father

Moses is described in the Torah as the most modest man who ever lived. My father was the second most. He thought of himself, and wanted others to think of him, as simply ordinary. Perhaps that inspired me to often depict him as Everyman.” — Max Ferguson

Martin Cregg | The Photo Course

The Photo Course is a project which explores the environment of a Photographic Course in Dublin.
I look for the energetic ‘imprint’ from teaching and learning photography against the dead wood of the empty institutional environment.
The work is also about subtle and ephemeral micro-events which happen in the duration of a day, a week, a year, which become part of the history of the building. As we move forward we create and we construct. (mehr …)

Call for Entries: OMNIVORE | PHOTO SESSION #1 CRUDO

OMNIVORE PHOTO SESSIONS is a audiovisual-based platform of debate and promotion for fine art photography. Through public screenings of photographic works we hope to achieve a low cost, widespread scope.

For their inaugural PHOTO SESSION themed CRUDO (=RAW), they are looking for photographic works (in a slideshow format) where intuition commands over reason, where personal involvement builds the way of looking.
The deadline for submissions is May 14th, 2012.
