ACMV Co-Editor Oliver Schneider will take part in the „artsolut Berlin Festival“ on August 16th 2011 at Lido, Berlin.

I love almost still videos as you can see in my videos. Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests have been a big influence for me, he shot around 500 portraits and the original material was around two minutes each and was stretched to five minutes in slow motion. You can buy a limited edition DVD in an LP-shaped set with 13 original Ilford fiber paper photographs for 250 bucks here. The great music is by Britta Phillips and Dean Wareham. Dean Wareham is known to have played in Galaxie 500 and Luna.

„The Avant/Garde Diaries is a digital portrait magazine that documents personal views on the avant-garde.
Rather than labeling people avant-garde, we try to see through the eyes of people, who we admire for what they do. For each article we ask contributors from the creative field to introduce someone or something they consider to be ahead of time and explain why.

The ‘Swarm Light‘ is an experimental light installation with a real ‚collective consciousness’ that subtly reacts to the viewer’s audible presence. The installation is a contemporary example of how the arbitrary boundaries of fine and decorative art, design and utility are no longer of immediate aesthetic relevance. An apparently inanimate object, ‘Swarm‘ unites crucial aspects of rAndom international‘s continued experimentation with light, behavioural responses and interactive spatial environments.

Stefan Fähler is a Berlin based illustrator and musician, he creates great twisted characters and collages. Stefan followed an invitation to participate in the „Quentin vs Coen“ exhibition in New York at Bold Hype Gallery in April 2011 and designed the artwork for the brandnew Hanin Elias release and also co-directed her new video together with Dacio Pinheiro and Tom Ehrhardt.
