Alternate Voices is the end of year exhibition of IADT, Dún Laoghaire, 2nd year photography students that opens at Moxie Studios, Dublin, Ireland, on the 25th of April, 2013 at 6pm and run until the 2nd of May.
The images in the exhibition are the result of the exploration by the photographers of a quotation by Fred Richin in which he suggests that
photographs in their ambiguity can provoke,
motivating the reader to interrogate their meanings.“
and the self-initiated bodies of work on display are the end result of their interpretation of that statement.
As well as presenting more established themes, subject matter and photographic approaches, some photographers have concentrated on their own personal environment sharing with us a sense of their own subjective and intimate experience of the world.
